A new study by Northern Arizona University has raised concerns about Climate TRACE, a database used to track global emissions, which may significantly underestimate carbon dioxide from cars and trucks. The study found that the database is undercounting emissions by an average of 70% across 260 U.S. cities, with some showing gaps exceeding 90%.
