Scientists have found a way to revive vancomycin, a powerful antibiotic that some dangerous bacteria have learned to resist. By pairing it with a molecule called pghi-4, they restored the antibiotic's ability to kill drug-resistant E. faecium, offering hope for other failing medicines.
